WHY WE SHOW THE PICTURES
       There is much controversy over the fact that this organization chooses to display the pictures of aborted fetuses.  Many of the complaints are from well-meaning pro-choice individuals and groups.  People often wonder why we would show the disgusting pictures that anti-choice extremists are proudly displaying.  Let us explain:
  THE PRO CHOICE MOVEMENT FAILED
       Although Americans have made great gains in the acceptance of abortion in the last 30 years; society remains somewhat "uncomfortable" with the pictures of aborted fetuses.  It is our belief at PCN that the pro choice movement has failed greatly in even further acceptance of abortion by NOT SHOWING the pictures of aborted fetuses.
     We've progressed beyond calling the fetuses "tissue"; we've progressed beyond discrediting the pictures as fake; we've progressed beyond claiming these pictures are "harmful".  Let us accept these pictures at face value.  More so, let us EMBRACE these pictures as a tool for promoting the cause of Choice.
  WOMEN CONSIDERING ABORTION NEED TO SEE THE PICTURES
       All too often the women seeking abortion are a bit squeemish at the sight of these pictures; be it from a pamphlet or a large poster from an anti-choice protester.  PCN believes that much of this unnecessary shock can be abated (and even reversed) with some simple re-programming techniques.  One day these radical protesters will even be beneficial to promoting our cause.
     Have you ever noticed that some women are more uncomfortable than others at the sight of aborted fetuses?  It is the same as some Doctors and nurses being uncomfortable with the abortion process.  But after participating numerous times, and after viewing the fetal remains time and again, the medical professional becomes accustomed to the sights and sounds of this procedure.  In the same way, women must become accustomed to the result of their choice.
  POST ABORTION SYNDROME- A THING OF THE PAST
       Many medical studies indicate that guilt and grief are common symptoms that plague women who have had abortions.  With an acceptance of the graphic nature of abortion, much of the negative feelings surrounding this choice will fall by the wayside.
     The feeling of guilt and grief are commonly associated with the woman's belief that she did something "wrong" or "evil".  This problem may never be fully conquered; but with prolific displays of aborted fetuses, a certain "spiritual numbness" can be achieved.
  CONCLUSION
       This controversy may continue for a while longer.  But with a little more educational effort, and a little more open-mindedness; we will one day unite in this method of promoting our cause.  There will be no more guilt and grief, no more squeemishness, no more discomfort, no more negative feelings.  The sight of an aborted fetus will no longer be viewed with disgust, but rather, a certain honor and pride will be instilled within our new society whenever we see an aborted fetus.
